The story behind how our company was founded

RKS Trainings was founded with a simple belief: projects succeed when people are empowered with the right skills.

After leading contract and procurement functions for over two decades in large EPC organizations, our founder, Rajeev Sharma, saw a clear gap between academic knowledge and industry expectations. Organizations were investing time and money in post-hire training, while skilled professionals were in short supply.

RKS Trainings was created to bridge this gap—delivering training and consulting that is practical, relevant, and aligned with global best practices.

  • 1995 – The Foundation of Experience

    Rajeev Sharma begins his professional career in Contracts, Procurement, and Project Management, working with leading EPC companies and project owners in the Infrastructure and Energy sectors.

  • 2005 – Building Leadership in EPC Projects

    After a decade of hands-on work, Rajeev leads end-to-end contract and procurement functions for large-scale, capital-intensive projects, gaining extensive exposure to both project owners’ and contractors’ perspectives.

  • 2010 – Expanding Global Exposure

    Working on international projects, Rajeev builds expertise in global contracting practices, supply chain risks, and strategic sourcing, laying the foundation for a future vision in training and consulting.

  • 2015 – Transition to Knowledge Sharing

    Recognizing the gap between industry expectations and academic learning, Rajeev starts conducting executive trainings and corporate workshops. His sessions are praised for being practical, interactive, and industry-relevant.

  • 2017 – Faculty at L&T Institute of Project Management

    Serves as Faculty (Contracts & SCM), conducting programs for multiple L&T business units and clients like Reliance, HPCL, and Vedanta. This period strengthens his commitment to bridging the academia–industry divide.

  • 2019 – Founding RKS Trainings

    RKS Trainings is formally established with a mission to deliver customized corporate trainings, consulting services, and faculty engagements in Contracts, Procurement, SCM, and Project Management.

  • 2020 – Going Digital

    Adapts to the changing environment by offering online and VILT (Virtual Instructor-Led Training) programs, reaching professionals across India and the Middle East.

  • 2022 – Expanding Services

    Launches Consultancy Services in contracts and SCM, along with legal advisory and financial management support to help organizations strengthen systems and reduce risks.

  • 2024 – Strengthening Academia–Industry Collaboration

    Partners with business schools as visiting faculty, introducing real-world projects, case studies, and interactive modules to prepare students for industry challenges.

  • 2025 – Today & Beyond

Mr. M. S Hiremath

Mr Hiremath carries an experience of 37 years in project management in various designations in Bharat Electronics Ltd Bangalore, a defence PSU under Ministry of defence Govt of India – 560013 ( BEL).

Has worked as Management representative for ISO-9000 quality standard and ISO-14000 environmental standard in BEL for four years. He has worked as director on the board of Project Management Institute Bangalore Chapter from 2007 to 2013.

He is a member of PMI (USA) and fellow of Institute of Engineers (India). Proven track record of delivering corporate trainings in the following domain areas
